One of the things that people remember to do when they are in Walt Disney World is make sure they take water with them wherever they go. This is common sense really, Suntan Lotion, and Water, it is very hot, cover up and stay hydrated. But, people forget that walking more than you normally do, eating at different times and just the fact that you are on Vacation, you may need a snack or two throughout the day. At Walt Disney World, the Snacks themselves can be considered Unknown Magics all their own. Because all though there are many areas to purchase snacks throughout the Parks and Resorts, there are so many different types of Snacks that you may find a Magical Experience to control that hunger.
In the Resorts at the food court areas, there are fruits and cookies and baked goods. Different resorts may have different baked goods, for example at the Beach Club Resort, they have a Key Lime Tart from time to time. In the Resorts’ gift shops there are usually packaged items such as commercially sold cookies and crackers. Most of the Gift Shops also sell items only sold at Disney; like Mickey Head pretzels and Shortbread cookies with Mickey’s face on them or the Disney character Candy Bars. They also sell Ice cream at the resorts (and throughout the Parks and Water Parks). These Ice Creams are mostly the same throughout Walt Disney World. You can get chocolate covered Mickey Head ice cream on
a stick, Mickey Head Ice Cream Sandwich, Frozen Juice Bars, Nestle Crunch Bar, Popsicles, and of course the Frozen Banana.

When you get into some serious snacking, though is when you go to the Parks. There are so many different choices of snacks, that everyone in the family will be able to find something that will make their day Magical. On Main Street alone, you can choose anything from a Big Minnie Mouse Lollipop, to an Apple turnover and many delicious choices in between. Further into the Magic Kingdom you can get Muffins and Floats and FunnelCake. In Pinocchio Village Haus for example, you can get cannoli, While in Adventureland you must stop and get a Dole Whip Soft Serve, at Aloha Isle Refreshments.

Over in Epcot, you can basically Snack Around the World. You can have a soft Pretzel or Black Forest Cake in Germany, A Waffle Ice Cream Cone at the American Pavilion, or even a big old Turkey Leg. You can even try something unique like Crepes
in France, Kaki Gori, a Flavored Ice Cone, in Japan, or Carmel Ginger Ice Cream from China. In Norway make sure you try a bear claw and if you want a good snack to share, make sure you stop at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Great Britain and get yourself some fish and chips. I have made many a snack out of the Fish and Chips and washed them down with a Pint.

In Disney Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, the choices are just as wonderful, everything from, Eclairs, Fruit Tarts and Smores Fudge Squares to Pork Egg Rolls and Mango Mini Pies. The Choices in Downtown Disney are even more amazing, mainly because you have Goofy’s Candy Co., Wolfgang Puck Express and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. At Goofy’s you can create your own fudge covered cookie, while at Wolfgang Puck Express you can get Crème Brulee. And over at the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, you can get something called Midnight Reverie, which is Chocolate ice cream , covered with Chocolate, topped off with Chocolate.

So as you can see, the snack opportunities are just about endless when you are at the Walt Disney World Resort and they can lead to some pretty neat Magical

Experiences. Just think about the first time you had a Rice Krispie Treat. Now
imagine that first Rice Krispie Treat being shaped like a Mickey Mouse head and the ears being dipped in Chocolate. How’s that for a Magical Experience as a 4 year old? Or how about trying your first Doh-Bar from Cookes of Dublin (also in Downtown Disney), don’t know what a Doh-Bar is? It’s a deep fried Candy Bar. Try one, everyone says it’s a Magical Experience, and if it isn’t good, it’ll be something your family will talk about for years.

So, now you know, Snackin with the Mouse can be as diverse as you want it to be, or simple as a piece of fruit. But any way pick it, the snack you have might just be an Unknown Magic waiting for you
