Family Window Decal availble from
laughingplacestore.com/

So, when one of my twitter friends Melisssa (@makin_memories), mentioned yesterday that she saw someone with a Disney shirt on and wanted to ask them how their trip was, I nodded my head in agreement. Then today at work, I saw a teacher I hadn’t seen since last school year, he asked how our trip was this summer, and I talked to him about his trip to Disney, even though we haven’t talked yet this school year and we rarely talk to each other anyway. Last year one of the other teachers commented about my Disney family window decals. There’s something about Disney that brings people together. I consider this, the After- Disney. What I mean by the After-Disney is the sharing of Disney memories and stories with complete strangers or acquaintances, just because you or they have been to Disney World. So, today I present to you, the Unknown Magic of After-Disney.

This Picture in my room
starts a lot of conversations
 about Disney World

The Magical Experiences of the After-Disney happen every day. When I am driving to or from work and I see a Disney antennae topper, I smile to myself. When I notice a Disney license plate holder, I wonder when they were there. And from talking to other Disney people, they think this way too. Even people we don’t know will come over and ask about a Disney shirt or a magnet on my truck or my wife’s car. This is a very neat thing; if you have been to Disney at some point in the last few years, you can still talk about it as if it was yesterday. I have kids at school that do this all the time. They may have been to Walt Disney World when they were 7 and now that I have them in school at age 11 or 12, they will still tell me all about their trip and what they did and you know they are reliving their Magical Experiences while they are doing it. These are just a few of many ways of sharing the After-Disney Magic. And so many people show their After-Disney in other ways.

Twitter and Facebook are great places to have Magical Experiences in the After-Disney. Since I started This Website and joined Twitter because of it, I have gotten to know some great Disney People. These are people that not only have Disney Blogs, Websites and podcasts, but they are also the people that enjoy talking about Disney to others. They are the ones that love the Walt Disney Resort and want to keep the Magic alive for themselves and others. For a list of these websites go see The Relocated Tourist Post found here http://tinyurl.com/39kmazf. (I can’t see rewriting their blog by making my own list and besides, they did a great job making this list.)

I have also met some other great Disney folks that don’t have websites or blogs, but Love discussing and reading about Disney just as much as the ones that do have websites. Then there are the Disney people that I wish I could be. The ones that spend most of their day working on Disney Related Websites and Podcasts and Magazines; these are the people that spend a lot of their days in the Walt Disney World Resort. These are the People I am envious of everyday.

But they aren’t the only ones that can help you to enjoy the After-Disney. Others ways are through literature. Not just books or Magazines about Disney, things like the Imagineering Guides or the Hidden Mickey books, or Celebrations or the D23 Magazine, but also Fiction books like the Kingdom Keepers Series by Ridley Pearson, can help you to relive Magical Experiences that you had during a vacation, to Disney World.

And don’t forget the Travel Channel. At some point during the year, they have the Season of Disney, where they show things like: Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney on a Dime, The Disney Royal Treatment, Disney Splurge, Samantha Brown’s Disney Favorites and Samantha Brown’s Disney Holidays all can create or remind you of Magical Experiences you have had in Disney. (And all are available from Amazon.com’s Video on Demand here Disney Vids)

So, now you know, even after you have come home from your Disney Vacation, there are many ways to create more Magical Experiences, by enjoying the After-Disney recommendations I have made here. And I’m sure you can find other ways of your own to always keep Disney in your Heart.
