>Toy Story Mania is one of the Best Attractions in Walt Disney World. It is one where the fast passes for an 11 PM closing are gone by 10:15- AM. This is THE attraction that people run to in Disney Hollywood Studios, when the rope drops. I’ve actually seen people run to this attraction and get a FastPass, because the line was already 40 minutes long and the park had only been open for 15 minutes. It is unbelievable. But

the ride is Fantastic and the pre-show is great. It is an awesome ride. They bill the attraction as being 4-D. The reason for this is that not only is it an interactive ride, but you wear 3-D glasses while you are “playing”. This isn’t the only attraction in Disney World where you need to wear 3-D glasses. In every Park in Walt Disney World there is a 3-D Attraction for you to enjoy. So, I present for you today’s Unknown Magic, “And at no time will we be stooping to any cheap 3D tricks.*”

The Unknown Magic that is the 3-D Attractions in Walt Disney World brings my family Magical Experiences every time we experience one. We usually try to experience one of the four 3-D Attractions during our visit. Each one is unique and fun, but for small children two could be a little too much.

In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the 3-D experience is located at the base of the Tree of Life. This 3-D Attraction is called It’s Tough to be a Bug. It’s based on the Disney Pixar movie A Bug’s Life. The show is hosted by Flik the ant, along with Spiders, termites, Dung Beetles and other bugs. “These amazing and amusing insects and arachnids invite the audience to be honorary bugs. Through 3D “Bug-Eye” glasses, get a fascinating and hilarious look into the animal kingdom…”. The effects in this attraction range from everything from being sprayed and experiencing smells, but there is one point at which a “swarm of bees/wasps” zoom by you and this could freak out small children.

Likewise in Honey, I Shrunk the Audience in Epcot, there is a scene with rats running under your feet and a scene with a snake that might make small guests squeamish. This attraction is based on the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” movies. It features Professor Wayne Szalinski getting an award from the Imagination Institute. He and his family get into another mess with the shrinking machine with fun for the audience which you are part of.

Even though these two shows have parts that can be scary for younger guests, they both offer plenty of laughs and fun and can create Magical Experiences also.

The two other 3-D Attractions at Disney World are in the Magic Kingdom and Disney Hollywood Studios. The one is Mickey’s Philharmagic. This is housed in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. This show features Donald Duck “flying” through many Disney Movies and musical scores. This is one of my favorite attractions in the Magic
Kingdom. I love Donald Duck being the star of an attraction, because I like Donald. I also like it because there are no pokes or prods in this 3-D show. There are however extra effects that  add to the Magcial Experience of the show. This is my favorite 3-D show in Walt Disney World.

My vote for the best 3-D Attraction however goes to Muppet Vision 3-D. This one is based on the Muppets. It is basically a Muppet Show, but it is presented in 3-D. We

Love this attraction. It is one of the places in Walt Disney World where you need to experience the pre-show and take in all of the details of the attraction. I recommend getting to the attraction when the sign out front says the wait is at least 15-20 minutes. The reason is that the show itself is 17 minutes long. So, if you get there when there are
at least a 15 minute wait, then you will have plenty of time to look around the waiting area/pre-show. The waiting area is set up as a backstage/warehouse area for the Muppet Show. It is the area where all their props and costumes are stored. In this area you can have a Magical Experience, because you can find different fun things all about the room. There are different crates and boxes throughout the room with writing on them containing Puns and other play on words. It’s a great place to go with kids and have fun with words and jokes. Another
Magical thing that is in here, is to the right after you pass the entrance. You come to the Security Office. The sign on the window says, “Back in 5 Minutes. Key is under the mat.” If you lift the mat on the floor; there is actually a key! It creates a Magical Experience when you have your son or daughter check it out. Once you get into the show the 3-D effects range from corny to pretty neat. But when you are in the show, look around the entire theatre, it is pretty neat. The other neat thing about this attraction is the outside of the building. The building is more than just another space that houses a show. It is truly
Muppetized. From the unfinished paint job to the Miss Piggy Fountain and Giant
Kermit Statues to the secret machines hidden out back and the Hot air Balloon, the area
outside of the attraction is just as Magical as the show itself.

So, now you know, if you or your kids love all the new 3-D movies coming out, then there are attractions in Walt Disney World that you just can’t miss. So, put you glasses on and get ready for the show.
